Ambera was created by Norwegian founders with a European vision. Inspired by the successful American concept of active adult communities, we’re building an entire town designed for a social and active lifestyle, with affordable homes, extensive shared facilities and community driven clubs and activities. Ambera is designed for Europeans by Europeans and we’re finally introducing the active adult community concept to Europe for the first time ever.
Extensive focus group interviews conducted in Norway, Sweden, UK and Germany, (in addition to hundreds and hundreds of conversations with anyone willing to listen to us) has taught us a lot, and it has really solidified our belief in the concept. Socially and culturally, us Europeans differ somewhat from our friends across the Atlantic, we now feel that we have a good idea of what those differences are and how Ambera can be designed to cater to the wants and needs of the European adult.
On a strong foundation of northern social values, activity and social interaction, we are planning on building Ambera communities in several European countries in the years to come, starting with Spain and beautiful Costa del Sol.
We have identified several suitable lots, and negotiations to acquire one or two of them are currently under way. Our hope is that we can provide you with more specifics in the first quarter of 2019.
After extensive research and analysis, we have decided to build our first Ambera community in south east Spain. Spain is famous for its ability to attract people from all over northern Europe all year round, and especially during the winter months. Approximately 1,5 million non-Spanish Europeans live in the south east part of Spain today, where they enjoy 300 sun days per year, great food and the rich Spanish culture.
We want to provide our residents with something this region hasn’t seen before. We want to give people something more than just a home in the south, we want to provide our residents with the tools to lead a rich and fulfilling life in an active and social community.
Ambera combines top-quality homes and extensive shared facilities, and we want to build in in a beautiful area with a pleasant climate, and we want to make it as affordable as possible. This makes Spain, and the lots we are currently looking at, the perfect location for us.
